Hello, my name is Yasmilet Garcia. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to providing mental health support for women as they navigate life's challenges with compassion, clinical expertise, and evidence-based care. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, followed by my Master of Social Work from California State University, Northridge, where I deepened my clinical training and developed a passion for empowering individuals through meaningful change.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in various settings—medical, community mental health, and private practice—offering personalized therapy to individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, relationship concerns, and significant life transitions. These experiences have enhanced my ability to provide culturally responsive care that honors each client's unique story, values, and goals, ultimately promoting their emotional well-being.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based interventions. While my approach is rooted in research, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is among the most potent catalysts for healing. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and empowered to foster lasting change.
Empower HER Therapy was founded with the belief that healing is not about becoming someone new—it’s about reconnecting with the version of yourself that has always existed beneath stress, self-doubt, and expectations.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, burnout, motherhood, grief, relationship challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life's demands, personalized therapy can provide the support and tools you need to move forward with greater confidence and resilience.
Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. It would be an honor to accompany you on your journey toward healing, growth, and emotional well-being.
